Taebaek Festival

Taebaek Festival begins on October 3rd every year with the ritual for the worship of the heavenly gods. Taebaek Festival is composed of ritual events such as autumn leaf festival, industrial workers memorial ceremony, and Sansinje (Mountain-Spirit Ceremonial Festival); various art events to enjoy comprehensive culture and art of Taebaek; and Hanmadang festival for Taebaek residents for the residents to get along in harmony. It is the representative cultural event of Taebaek to inherit and develop the traditional folk culture that is slowly disappearing.
