Sunflower Festival with the largest sunflower garden and a variety of beautiful wild flowers is held in Hwangyeon-dong (Guwau Village), Taebaek-si during late July to early August every year. Various events including garden viewing, exhibitions, performances, experience activities, and markets for selling commodities are prepared in the event site of over 661,157m2 that has a sea of sunflowers, forest trail, and over 300 species of wild flowers.
